BEIRUT, May 1 (Xinhua) -- Lebanon's number of COVID-19 infections increased on Friday by four to 729 while death toll remained at 24, the National News Agency reported.

Lebanon continues to repatriate its expats stranded in other countries infected with COVID-19.

Lebanese Prime Minister Hassan Diab warned a day earlier against another wave of COVID-19 if citizens do not take the necessary precautionary measures.

"We are not safe against the virus yet. We are in favor of people who protest and express their concerns but such practices may lead to a health disaster in the country," the prime minister said while hinting at protesters who have been on streets for a few days to demonstrate against dire living conditions in the country.
