Lebanon's PM to meet French president over investment

BEIRUT, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri agreed Friday with French President Emmanuel Macron to discuss potential investment projects in Lebanon.

"The two officials agreed to discuss investment projects in Lebanon and means to enhance stability in the country during Hariri's upcoming meeting with the president in Paris on Sept. 20," said a statement by Hariri's office.

Hariri also thanked Macron in a telephone call for his efforts in stopping the escalation in tensions between Lebanon and Israel on the borders less than a week ago.

Meanwhile, Macron assured Hariri that France is keen on preserving Lebanon's stability and security.
