TRIPOLI, June 27 (Xinhua) -- Libya's Higher Council of State on Thursday condemned the two suicide bomb attacks in Tunisia that left a policeman dead and other policemen and citizens wounded.

"The Higher Council of State condemns the two terrorist bombings that took place on Thursday morning in the Tunisian capital, killing a security man and injuring others, including civilians," the council said in a statement.

"These cowardly terrorist attacks that target both Libya and Tunisia will only increase the solidarity of the two peoples against terrorism and crime," the statement said.

Earlier on Thursday, two bomb attacks took place in the Tunisian capital Tunis, one near the French Embassy and the other at the headquarters of a counter-terrorism department.
