Mexico City (People's Daily) - A patient in Mexico City was suspected of being infected with the novel coronavirus, the Ministry of Health of Mexico said.

The patient is a 37-year-old male Chinese national residing in Mexico’s capital and traveled to China from January 3 to 27.

He started showing respiratory symptoms on February 7. He is now in stable condition.

The Institute of Diagnosis and Epidemiological Reference has selected and validated the test that will be given in the coming days to the national laboratories of 31 specialized entities and hospitals.
