LONDON - The first phase of the inquiry into London's devastating Grenfell Tower fire will conclude on Wednesday as more questions were raised, media reported.

The seventh day of the inquiry is ongoing as tribute continues to be paid to the 72 people who lost their lives in the fire last June.

Friends and relatives have delivered emotional testimonies to the victims over the past two weeks.

On Wednesday, the remaining six victims will be remembered by friends and family, with the full inquiry set to last several months. The first phase of the intensive inquiry raised more questions as authorities were accused of negligence.

It comes as a report, Mind The Gap: A Review Of The Voluntary Sector Response To The Grenfell Tragedy, found that volunteers were largely left to lead the response to the fire. The document accused authorities of falling short in the fire's immediate aftermath.

But it praised voluntary organizations, claiming they stepped up to the needs of the community, particularly in the "the immediate and longer-term response phases".
