Yangon (People’s Daily)- Myanmar Union Minister for International Cooperation U Kyaw Tin confirmed the support from his government on the national security legislation in HKSAR in a teleconference with Chinese Ambassador Chen Hai. 

He said that Myanmar understood the concerns of China with regard to the stability and national security in Hong Kong. Myanmar would consistently support “One Country, two Systems” policy framework. 

Taking necessary preventive measures, including the enactment of appropriate legislation to safeguard sovereignty, peace and stability and security, are solely the responsibility of a sovereign state. 

The Union Minister is confident that under the policy framework of “One Country Two Systems”, the people of Hong Kong would continue to enjoy peace, stability and prosperity.
