Bangkok (People's Daily) - Nepal on Sunday confirmed 421 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total to 9,026 since the virus first arrived in the country in January.

A total of 7,231 patients remain hospitalized, 1,772 have recovered and returned home, and 23 have died from complications related to the disease, according to Nepal's Ministry of Public Health.

There are still 94,928 people in Nepal in quarantine.

In order to prevent and control the epidemic, the Nepalese government announced the implementation of curfew on June 19.

Nepal has implemented a national blockade policy since March 24 to prevent the spread of the epidemic.
