Nepal's COVID-19 cases rise to 6,211, with 451 new infections

Bangkok (People's Daily) - Nepal on Monday confirmed 451 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total to 6,211 since the virus first arrived in the country in January.

A total of 5,151 patients remain hospitalized,  1,041 have recovered and returned home, and 19 have died from complications related to the disease, according to Nepal ’s Ministry of Public Health.

There are still about 140,000 people quarantined in Nepal. Nepal has implemented a national blockade policy since March 24 to prevent the spread of the epidemic.
