Nintendo annual net profit beats forecast on strong game sales

Nintendo posted an annual net profit of 432.7 billion yen ($3.2 billion) on Tuesday, beating the company's forecast of 370 billion yen but dipping 9.4 percent year-on-year.

Strong game sales, including for the hit Pokemon and Splatoon titles, helped lift profits, the Japanese gaming giant said, although it predicted a drop in net profit to 340 billion yen in the current 2023-24 financial year.
