New Delhi (People’s Daily) -- A Biman Bangladesh Airlines plane skidded off the runway at Yangon International Airport in Myanmar, but there were no fatalities.

All 33 passengers and crew were injured, but none was in a critical state, according to The Daily Star of Bangladesh.

The flight slid off the runway around 6:20 pm when being forced to land because of bad weather, said Shakil Meraj, general manager for public relations at Biman.

All passengers and crew are safe, however, 15 of the injured were hospitalized. Biman is sending a special flight to bring back the passengers, he said.

The plane was badly damaged in the accident.
