Palestine reports 2 new cases of COVID-19, totaling 263: official

RAMALLAH, April 8 (Xinhua) -- Palestine on Wednesday reported two new cases of the novel coronavirus, bringing the total number to 263.

The Palestinian Health Ministry's Primary Healthcare Director Kamal al-Shakhra told reporters that one of the two cases is a worker from Hebron district who recently returned from his job in Israel and the other is a paramedic from Nablus city.

According to al-Shakhra, 13 cases are reported in the Gaza Strip, eight of whom have recovered.

Among all the cases in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, 44 have recovered, he added.

So far, the Ministry of Health said it has conducted a total of 15,450 COVID-19 tests.
