Philippine coronavirus cases rise to 27,238 with 457 new infections

Bangkok (People’s Daily) – The Philippine Department of Health on Wednesday reported 457 new coronavirus cases, to bring the official tally to 27,238.

Officials said 6,820 infected people have recovered, and 1,108 have died.

The Philippines has implemented a national blockade policy since March 17 to prevent the spread of the epidemic. The government started gradually lifting outbreak restrictions starting in June.
