Philippine coronavirus cases rise to 27,799 with 562 new infections

Bangkok (People's Daily) – The Philippine Department of Health on Thursday reported 562 new coronavirus cases, to bring the official tally to 27,799.

Officials said 7,090 infected people have recovered, and 1,116 have died.
The Philippines has implemented a national blockade policy since March 17 to prevent the spread of the epidemic. The government started gradually lifting outbreak restrictions starting in June.
