Philippines's coronavirus cases rise to 29,400, with 943 new infections

Bangkok (People’s Daily) – The Philippines Department of Health (DOH) on Saturday reported 943 new coronavirus cases, to bring the official tally to 29,400.

Officials said 7,650 infected people have recovered, and 1,150 have died.

The Philippines has implemented a national blockade policy since March 17 to prevent the spread of the epidemic. It started to gradually lift outbreak restrictions starting in June.
