KIEV, Dec. 31 (Xinhua) -- The campaign for next year's presidential election officially started in Ukraine on Monday, the government-run Ukrinform news agency said.

The potential candidates should declare their intention to run for president by Feb. 3 next year.

Each of the candidates has to pay an election deposit of about 91,709 US dollars to be registered in the campaign.

The presidential election in Ukraine is scheduled for March 31, 2019. The results of the voting will be unveiled by April 10.
