Putin, Netanyahu agree to boost cooperation on COVID-19 vaccine

MOSCOW, Nov. 16 (Xinhua) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had a telephone talk Monday, and the leaders discussed bilateral ties and prospects of enhancing cooperation on the Russian COVID-19 vaccine.

The conversation focused on bilateral cooperation in curbing the spread of the coronavirus pandemic with an exchange of views on current preventive measures carried out by both countries, according to a statement published by the Kremlin.

The two sides covered "prospects for cooperation on the Russian vaccine, including its possible supply and the organization of production in Israel," the statement read.

The leaders further talked about the situation in the Middle East.
