MOSCOW, March 27 (Xinhua) -- A fire engulfed a two-story residential building in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg on Thursday, killing seven people and leaving another one hospitalized, according to the Russian Emergencies Ministry.

The fire that hit the wooden house broke out at about 11:00 p.m. local time (1800 GMT).

"The body of the seventh victim has been found," the ministry said in a statement on Friday.

The fire was likely to be caused by arson, said the regional department of the Russian Interior Ministry.
