The mishap occurred when a sport utility vehicle (SUV) collided head-on with a bus coming from the opposite direction in Madhya Pradesh's Betul district.

"All those who died were travelling in the SUV, while the bus driver was injured and has been admitted to a hospital. There was a gory sight at the site of the accident as gas cutters had to be used to retrieve the dead bodies from the mangled remains of the SUV," the cop told Xinhua over the phone.
