Saudi Arabia reports 1299 COVID-19 confirmed cases; Jeddah lockdown

Cairo (People’s Daily) - Saudi Arabia announced on Sunday 96 more COVID-19 cases, taking the total number to 1299.And there are another 4 death cases, taking the total number of deaths to 8.

According to the report of Al Arabiya website, residents in Saudi Arabia are banned from entering or exiting the Jeddah governorate as of Sunday in an effort to slow the spread of  coronavirus, said a statement from the country’s Ministry of Interior; a recently imposed curfew will also begin at 3 p.m. instead of 7 p.m. in the governorate. The same measures have already been implemented in Riyadh, Mecca and Medina as of Thursday.
