Saudi Arabia under 24-hour curfew amid COVID-19 rise

Cairo (People’s Daily) - Saudi Arabia on Sunday confirmed 206 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the nationwide total to 2,385.

Health officials also reported 488 full recoveries and 34 virus fatalities.

The Saudi government issued a 24-hour curfew in multiple neighborhoods in Jeddah on Saturday and extended curfews in Mecca and Medina.

On Friday afternoon, authorities issued a curfew in Dammam, Taif, Al Qatif.
