DUBAI, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz on Thursday arrived in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for a state visit.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, crown prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces, welcomed the Saudi crown prince and his delegation at the Presidential Airport in the UAE capital with other senior officials, according to Emirates News Agency (WAM).

He received an official reception ceremony upon arrival.

"We're proud of our deep-rooted ties, close cooperation and a fruitful partnership for our countries. The UAE will always be a loving and supportive home for our brothers in Saudi Arabia," Sheikh Mohammed said in a Twitter post.

He also said in another Twitter post that the two sides "held talks on ways to enhance bilateral ties as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest."

Some media reported that this is the first foreign trip of the Saudi crown prince since the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi and he is expected to visit Tunisia on Tuesday.
