Singapore records 49 new coronavirus cases

Bangkok (People’s Daily) - Forty-nine coronavirus cases were reported in Singapore on Friday, bringing the total number of cases to 732, the  Singapore Ministry of Health announced.

They include 22 people with recent travel history to Europe, North America, ASEAN and other parts of Asia. 

Five of the new cases were linked to the cluster involving the PCF Sparkletots pre-school in Fengshan, The total number of infections arising from the cluster is 25. Three cases were linked to Dover Court International School. And 3 of the confirmed cases are linked to a new cluster at the SingPost Centre.

The disease has altogether caused 2 deaths, while 183 patients have recovered from the disease. Seventeen are in critical condition.

The Ministry of Education also announced that all schools will conduct one day of home-based learning a week, to prepare parents and students for more days of home-based learning if and when required.
