Singapore records 49 new coronavirus cases, most returned from UK

Bangkok (People's Daily) - Forty-nine new coronavirus cases were reported in Singapore on Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases to 558, the Singapore Ministry of Health announced Tuesday.

They include 32 cases of people returning from overseas. Fifteen travelled from the United Kingdom, 5 travelled from the United States, while other cases had travelled from Malaysia, France, Indonesia and Australia. Of these cases, 25 are Singapore citizens or permanent residents while five are long term visitor pass holders. 

The disease has in total caused 2 deaths, while 156 patients have recovered. Seventeen are in critical condition.
