Bangkok (People's Daily) - Singapore reported 120 new coronavirus cases on Sunday, the biggest daily increase since the outbreak began here in January, bringing the total number of infections to 1,309, said the Ministry of Health of Singapore.
Of the confirmed cases, 116 are local cases who have no recent travel history abroad. The remaining 4 cases are imported infections.
A "significant number" of the new cases are linked to existing clusters involving two workers' dormitories, S11 Dormitory at Punggol and Westlite Toh Guan, said the COVID-19 multi-ministry task force during a media conference. S11 Dormitory at Punggol has 22 new cases and Westlite Toh Guan has 10 new cases. The Ministry of Health has declared the two dormitories isolation areas.
