Singapore reports 1,037 COVID-19 cases, raising total to 11,178

Bangkok (People's Daily) - Singapore reported 1,037 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, bringing the total number of infections to 11,178, said its Ministry of Health.

Most of the new cases were foreign workers. And 21 cases were Singaporeans or permanent residents. 

896 patients have recovered from the infection. 25 patients are in critical condition, and 12 have died.

Singapore has extended its COVID-19 "circuit breaker" period by four weeks until Jun 1.
