Bangkok (People's Daily) - Singapore reported 142 new coronavirus cases, the biggest daily increase since the outbreak began here in January, and one death on Wednesday, bringing the total number of infections to 1,623, and death toll to seven, said the Ministry of Health of Singapore.
Of the confirmed cases, two are from people who recently visited other countries. The remaining are from local transmission.
The fatality was a 32-year-old male Indian national who was a long term pass holder. He died while awaiting test results, and was confirmed to have COVID-19 after his death.
A total of 406 people have fully recovered, and 29 are under intensive care.
