Singapore reports 247 COVID-19 cases, raising total to 41,216

Bangkok (People's Daily) - Singapore reported 247 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, bringing the total number of infections to 41,216, said its Ministry of Health.

Most of Wednesday's cases are work pass holders residing in foreign worker dormitories.

As of Wednesday, 31,163 patients have recovered and 2 remain in critical condition. 26 deaths have been reported.

Singapore will enter Phase 2 of its reopening after the COVID-19 "circuit breaker" on June 19, during which most activities and businesses would be allowed to resume, including dining in at food and beverage outlets. A limit on gatherings of no more than five people will remain in place. Tables must also be spaced a meter apart.
