Singapore reports 517 new COVID-19 cases, raising total to 36,922

Bangkok (People's Daily) - Singapore reported 517 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, bringing the total number of infections to 36,922, said its Ministry of Health.

Most of Thursday's cases are work pass holders residing in foreign worker dormitories.

As of Thursday, 23,582 patients have recovered and five remain in critical condition. 24 deaths have been reported.

Singapore entered its first phase of reopening after the “circuit breaker” period. Businesses that operate in settings with lower transmission risks were allowed to reopen, and some students were back at school.
