Singapore reports 618 COVID-19 cases, raising total to 12,693

Bangkok (People's Daily) - Singapore reported 618 new coronavirus cases on Saturday, bringing the total number of infections to 12,693, said its Ministry of Health.

Most of the new cases were foreign workers. Seven are Singaporeans or permanent residents.

As of Saturday, 956 patients have recovered with 24 remaining in critical condition. Twelve have died.

Singapore has extended its COVID-19 "circuit breaker" period by four weeks to June 1.
