Singapore reports 897 COVID-19 cases, raising total to 12,075

Bangkok (People's Daily) - Singapore reported 897 new coronavirus cases on Friday, bringing the total number of infections to 12,075, said its Ministry of Health.

Most of the new cases were foreign workers. 13 cases were Singaporeans or permanent residents. 

924 patients have recovered from the infection. 26 patients are in critical condition, and 12 have died.

Singapore has extended its COVID-19 "circuit breaker" period by four weeks until Jun 1.
