Singapore reports 942 COVID-19 cases, bringing total to 5,992

Bangkok (People's Daily) - Singapore reported 942 new coronavirus cases on Saturday,  the biggest daily increase since the outbreak began in January, bringing the total number of infections to 5,992,  said the Ministry of Health of Singapore.

Among the new cases, most were linked to clusters at foreign worker dormitories. A total of 12 foreign worker dormitories have now been designated into isolation areas.

In all, 708 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged. 22 patients are still in critical condition in the intensive care unit.
