Algiers (People's Daily) - In honor of six decades of friendly relations, the Chinese embassy in Algeria hosted a “China Day” at the Algerian Higher School of Business School on Friday.

Chinese Ambassador to Algeria Yang Guangyu delivered a keynote address in French, discussing Sino-Algeria relations and the future Belt and Road Initiative that will create more opportunities while expanding cooperation between the two nations.

Commerical Counselor Zhao Dongliang and Cultural Counselor Liu Zongze discussed the two countries on economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges. Political Counselor He Hongyan, Algeria Business School President Patrick Michaletti, and executives from Chinese businesses were also in attendance.

China Construction Group and Huawei representatives discussed the contributions China has made to the Algeria’s business sector. 

Following the business development presentations, industry representatives answered questions from Algerian students eager to learn more about future development opportunities in their country.

Chinese and Algerian students spent the afternoon taking part in Chinese cultural activities that included reading classic Chinese literature and watching Chinese films, and later staged a talent show.

Throughout the course of the afternoon traditional Chinese food was on hand for everyone to enjoy.

Even with six decades of friendly relations between  the two countries, with the pace of development the way it is, the next 60 years will prove to be even more fruitful and prosperous, a continued win-win for both nations.
