From a regional perspective, there are 16 from Gauteng, three from Kwazulu-Natal, one from Eastern Cape and 18 from Western Cape. It is notable that the Eastern Cape has its first confirmed case. This patient is a 28-year-old female who had travelled to Germany.

By now, Gauteng has 125 in total, the largest number of people affected by COVID-19. Kwazulu-Natal has 27,and Western Cape has 74.

There are 63 people who tested positive between the ages of 31-40 and 57 people who tested positive between the ages of 51-60, while only 42 people between the ages of 21-30. There were not that many other cases outside this age group.

From the gender perspective, of the 240 people, 92 are female and 142 are male. Men seem to be more susceptible.
