South Africa reports new COVID-19 cases as tally reaches 274

Johannesburg(People’s Daily) -- South African health officials announced 34 new coronavirus cases had been confirmed, bringing the nationwide total to 274. 

Gauteng Province, home to the nation’s capital Pretoria, and economic hub Johannesburg, leads the African country with 132 COVID-19 cases. Western Cape Province reported 88 cases, while Kwazulu-Natal Province has 36. 

According to the latest data, the majority of the cases were imported from overseas.
