South Korean coronavirus infections rise to 3,736

The South Korean health authority reported 210 more cases of novel coronavirus infections Sunday afternoon. 

The country has confirmed 3,736 people infected, with the youngest patient a 45-day-old infant. 

The country’s death toll rose to 18, with one new death announced on Sunday.

Nearly 90 percent of the cases were in Daegu, the center of the country's outbreak, and its neighbouring North Gyeongsang province.

The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) discloses the latest infection information twice a day. KCDC had reported 376 new cases confirmed on Sunday morning.
