Spain became the third country in the world which confirmed over 100,000 COVID-19 cases after the national health ministry on Wednesday reported an increase of 7,719 in the past 24 hours.

The total number of coronavirus infections has jumped to 102,136. The country was also hit by a new record of 864 coronavirus deaths reported overnight, bringing the death toll to 9,053, said the ministry’s daily update.
