Bangkok (People's Daily) - Thailand Sunday confirmed 188 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number to 599 since the virus first arrived in the kingdom in January.

Thaweesilp Wisanuyothin, spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Health, said 553 patients remain hospitalized, 45 have returned home, and one died from complications related to the disease. Most of the new cases are related to previously confirmed cluster cases.
