Thailand’s COVID-19 cases rise to 1,524 with 136 new infections

Bangkok (People's Daily) - Thailand on Monday confirmed 136 new cases of the COVID-19, bringing the total to 1,524 since the virus first arrived in the kingdom in January.

1,400 people remain hospitalized, while more than 120 have recovered and returned home, and seven died from complications related to the disease, Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health announced.

The Thai government has no plans to impose a curfew. But on Thursday, it enforced a state of emergency to ban the entry of foreigners and social gatherings.
