The total number of deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide has increased to 3,105,958 with the global confirmed cases reaching 146,807,900 as of 10:00 am BJT on Monday, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

The outbreak has now claimed 572,199 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 32,076,332 infections, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 10:00 am BJT on Monday.

India has confirmed a total of 16,960,172 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 192,311.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 14,340,787 with 390,797 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

France has recorded 5,559,121 confirmed cases and 103,017 deaths.

Russia has confirmed 4,708,640 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 106,434.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 38,358 lives in Turkey, bringing the total number of infections to 4,629,969.

The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 4,420,443, with the number of deaths at 127,681, according to the JHU virus tracker.

A total of 3,962,674 people in Italy have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 119,238.

It is followed by Spain with 77,591 deaths from 3,468,617 infections.

Germany has reported 3,298,608 COVID-19 cases and 81,625 deaths from the virus so far.
