Globally, as of 2:46 pm CEST on Sunday, there have been 19,462,112 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 722,285 deaths, reported to WHO.

The outbreak has now claimed the lives of at least 162,938 people in the US, the most of any country. The US also leads the world in the number of confirmed infections with 5,044,864, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 3:35 pm BJT on Monday.

Brazil has confirmed a total number of infections to 3,035,422. The death toll grew to 101,049.

India has confirmed a total number of infections to 2,215,074. The death toll grew to 44,386.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Russia have increased to 890,799 with 14,973 deaths.

It is followed by South Africa with 559,859 infections and 10,408 deaths, Mexico with 480,278 infections and 52,298 deaths, Peru with 478,024 cases and 21,072 deaths, Colombia with 387,481 cases and 12,842 deaths and Chile with 373,056 cases and 10,077 deaths.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Iran have increased to 326,712 with 18,427 deaths.
