The total number of deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide has increased to 4,335,943 with the global confirmed cases reaching 205,498,261 as of 6:00 pm BJT on Friday, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.
Current status (data as of 6:00 pm BJT, Aug 13):
The outbreak has now claimed 619,093 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 36,306,963 infections.
India has confirmed a total of 32,117,826 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 430,254.
Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 20,285,067 with 566,896 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.
France has recorded 6,469,753 confirmed cases and 112,700 deaths.
The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 165,996 lives in Russia, bringing the total number of infections to 6,468,890.
The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 6,208,926 with the number of deaths at 131,016, according to the JHU virus tracker.
Turkey has confirmed 6,018,455 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 52,703.
It is followed by Argentina with 108,569 deaths from 5,066,253 infections.
Colombia has reported 4,856,595 COVID-19 cases and 123,097 deaths from the virus so far.
A total of 4,677,883 people in Spain have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 82,407.
