Globally, as of 10 am BJT on Saturday, there have been 20,730,456 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including 751,154 deaths, reported the World Health Organization.

The outbreak has now claimed 170,876 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 5,424,367 infections, according to a tally by the 1Point3Acres virus tracker as of 10 am BJT on Saturday.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 3,226,443 with 105,490 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

India has confirmed a total of 2,461,190 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 48,040.

Russia has confirmed 910,778 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 15,467.

South Africa has recorded 579,140 confirmed cases and 11,556 deaths.

It is followed by Mexico with 55,908 deaths from 511,369 infections.

Peru has reported 507,996 COVID-19 cases and 25,648 deaths from the virus so far.

The Colombia's confirmed cases have increased to 433,805, with the number of deaths at 14,145, according to the JHU virus tracker.

A total of 382,111 people in Chile have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 10,340.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 28,617 lives in Spain, bringing the total number of infections to 342,813.
