The total number of deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide has increased to 4,364,409 with the global confirmed cases reaching 207,273,297 as of 7:30 pm BJT on Monday, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

The outbreak has now claimed 621,635 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 36,680,112 infections.

India has confirmed a total of 32,225,513 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 431,642.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 20,364,099 with 569,058 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 168,384 lives in Russia, bringing the total number of infections to 6,531,585.

France has recorded 6,471,262 confirmed cases and 112,705 deaths.

The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 6,297,157 with the number of deaths at 131,269, according to the JHU virus tracker.

Turkey has confirmed 6,078,623 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 53,159.

It is followed by Argentina with 109,041 deaths from 5,084,635 infections.

Colombia has reported 4,867,761 COVID-19 cases and 123,459 deaths from the virus so far.

A total of 4,693,540 people in Spain have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 82,470.
