Globally, as of 11:38 am CEST on Sunday, there have been 21,260,760 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 761,018 deaths, reported to WHO.

The outbreak has now claimed the lives of at least 170,028 people in the US, the most of any country. The US also leads the world in the number of confirmed infections with 5,402,803, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 8:27 am BJT on Monday.

Brazil has confirmed a total number of infections to 3,340,197. The death toll grew to 107,852.

India has confirmed a total number of infections to 2,589,682. The death toll grew to 49,980.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Russia have increased to 920,719 with 15,653 deaths.

It is followed by South Africa with 587,345 infections and 11,839 deaths, Peru with 525,803 infections and 26,075 deaths, Mexico with 517,714 cases and 56,543 deaths, Colombia with 456,689 cases and 14,810 deaths and Chile with 385,946 cases and 10,452 deaths.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Iran have increased to 343,203 with 19,639 deaths.
