Globally, as of 3:59 pm CEST on Monday, there have been 21,549,706 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 767,158 deaths, reported to WHO.

The outbreak has now claimed the lives of at least 170,458 people in the US, the most of any country. The US also leads the world in the number of confirmed infections with 5,436,539, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 8:27 am BJT on Tuesday.

Brazil has confirmed a total number of infections to 3,359,570. The death toll grew to 108,536.

India has confirmed a total number of infections to 2,647,663. The death toll grew to 50,921.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Russia have increased to 925,558 with 15,707 deaths.

It is followed by South Africa with 589,886 infections and 11,982 deaths, Peru with 535,946 infections and 26,281 deaths, Mexico with 522,162 cases and 56,757 deaths, Colombia with 468,332 cases and 15,097 deaths and Chile with 387,502 cases and 10,513 deaths.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Spain have increased to 359,082 with 28,646 deaths.
