The total number of deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide has increased to 4,404,573 with the global confirmed cases reaching 210,073,348 as of 7:00 pm BJT on Friday, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

The outbreak has now claimed 625,183 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 37,296,811 infections.

India has confirmed a total of 32,358,829 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 433,589.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 20,494,212 with 572,641 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

France has recorded 6,637,367 confirmed cases and 113,378 deaths.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 171,480 lives in Russia, bringing the total number of infections to 6,613,107.

The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 6,422,528 with the number of deaths at 131,691, according to the JHU virus tracker.

Turkey has confirmed 6,157,742 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 53,891.

It is followed by Argentina with 109,841 deaths from 5,116,803 infections.

Colombia has reported 4,880,516 COVID-19 cases and 123,901 deaths from the virus so far.

A total of 4,758,003 people in Spain have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 83,004.
