Globally, as of 12:48 pm CEST on Sunday, there have been 23,057,288 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 800,906 deaths, reported to WHO.

The outbreak has now claimed the lives of at least 176,808 people in the US, the most of any country. The US also leads the world in the number of confirmed infections with 5,703,586, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 3:27 pm BJT on Monday.

Brazil has confirmed a total number of infections to 3,605,783. The death toll grew to 114,744.

India has confirmed a total number of infections to 3,106,348. The death toll grew to 57,542.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Russia have increased to 954,328 with 16,341 deaths.

It is followed by South Africa with 609,773 infections and 13,059 deaths, Peru with 594,326 infections and 27,663 deaths, Mexico with 560,164 cases and 60,480 deaths, Colombia with 541,139 cases and 17,316 deaths and Chile with 397,665 cases and 10,852 deaths.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Spain have increased to 386,054 with 28,838 deaths.
