The total number of deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide has increased to 811,748 with the global confirmed cases reaching 23,566,502 as of 9:30 am BJT on Tuesday, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

Mexican authorities said Monday they have started price-gouging investigations to sanction 420 businesses, including stores and funeral homes, for unfairly raising prices during the coronavirus pandemic.

Morocco registered 903 new COVID-19 cases and 32 deaths on Monday, increasing the tally of infections since March 2 to 53,252 and the death toll to 920.
