Globally, as of 10 am BJT on Saturday, there have been 24,299,923 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including 827,730 deaths, reported the World Health Organization.

The outbreak has now claimed 184,722 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 6,040,136 infections, according to a tally by the 1Point3Acres virus tracker as of 10 am BJT on Saturday.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 3,804,803 with 119,504 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

India has confirmed a total of 3,387,500 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 61,529.

Russia has confirmed 977,730 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 16,866.

Peru has reported 621,997 COVID-19 cases and 28,277 deaths from the virus so far.

South Africa has recorded 620,132 confirmed cases and 13,743 deaths.

It is followed by Mexico with 63,146 deaths from 585,738 infections.

The Colombia's confirmed cases have increased to 581,995, with the number of deaths at 18,467, according to the JHU virus tracker.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 29,011 lives in Spain, bringing the total number of infections to 439,286.

A total of 405,972 people in Chile have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 11,132.
