Globally, as of 2:19 pm CEST on Sunday, there have been 17,660,523 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 680,894 deaths, reported to WHO.

The outbreak has now claimed the lives of at least 154,834 people in the US, the most of any country. The US also leads the world in the number of confirmed infections with 4,665,013, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 8:34 pm BJT on Monday.

Brazil has confirmed a total number of infections to 2,707,877. The death toll grew to 93,563.

India has confirmed a total number of infections to 1,750,723. The death toll grew to 37,364.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Russia have increased to 849,277 with 14,104 deaths.

It is followed by South Africa with 511,485 infections and 8,366 deaths, Mexico with 434,193 infections and 47,472 deaths, Peru with 422,183 cases and 19,408 deaths and Chile with 359,731 cases and 9,608 deaths.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Iran have increased to 309,437 with 17,190 deaths.

The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 306,315, with the number of deaths at 46,286, according to the JHU virus tracker.
